Impossible Bids - The Concept

Your partner makes an "impossible" bid, when it is not consistent with their previous bids. It often presents itself with an unnecessary jump in a suit, whereas the no-skip nomination is natural and should suit the situation. It can also take the form of an auction in a color that was previously denied. This bid, artificial in essence, will show an implicit fit and an important indication of the location of force or distribution.
