Weak Two Bids (a Weak Two) are opening bids that fall outside the normal parameters which are used for one-level opening bids.

Weak Two opening bids are used to describe hands with a good, long suit and little defensive value. In general, these are considered “defensive bids”. Bids designed to prohibit your opponents from describing their hands easily to each other.

Patty is the founder of Atlanta Junior Bridge (a non-profit which teaches bridge to children) and is presently working to 'Jump Start Bridge'. Jump Start Bridge is an initiative created to interest school teachers in creating bridge clubs in their schools.
