Reviews of Bridge with Patty
Great teaching and discussions. I am so glad Patty went over the break room exercises since I dod not know that I had to print a worksheet
The content seemed good but the interface was horrible. I left when we were assigned breakout rooms and half the people didn't have workbooks including me.
There were bandwidth problems which could have been on my end but I pretty much never have that issue. And getting signed up was way too hard, including the lack of awareness of the different time zones in the USA.
Also there was no followup such as a recording. If this wasn't free, I'd want my money back.
Wonderful as always!
I realize the difficulties in trying to teach around 120 students with varying levels of bridge knowledge. Patty did an excellent job. Very patient and great explanations of why she chose the bids she chose. Looking forward to more courses from her.
The review was very helpful, a couple of suggestions -1) it would help if the worksheet circulated earlier stated which bidding systems are applicable e.g. SAYC, 2/1, ACOL etc as some were unsure in the discussions in breakout room, 2) idea of breakout rooms is good but time allocated is too little, difficult to implement unless the no of exercises for breakout rooms are reduced & the rest are done individually in advance 3) participants should be advised to look at the exercises in advance, so circulate the pdf file 3 days prior? 4) moderator could be a little more fluent in English, at times it was a little difficult to follow.
Look forward to some more of these.
Clear and helpful
Excellent presentation by Patty. She is extremely clear, thorough, and skilled. Being attentive to students questions and evaluating if students understand all her explanations and points is very effective. I was very pleased with this seminar. The booklet and the breakout rooms were additional plusses.
Thank you Patty, much appreciation,
Mark Harrington
